ROM HTC P3600
Hi Folks,
Someone know where do I find a new version of ROM of the P3600 to download? My ROM version is 1.23.405.2 and the GPS is not working.

HTC P3600 Crashes
I bought a HTC P3600 less than 2 months ago.
So far it completely crashed twice. Nothing (soft reset, remove battery...) helps. It cannot be turned on again.
Only a hard reset will bring it back to live.
Which of course means, all my programs (tomtom, spb,opera....) must be re-installed, which is a real pain and TIMECONSUMING.
Anyone has experienced this and knows how to prevent it?

HTC p3600 gps tomtom
Hello! I am the owner of a p3600. I bought my phone like a month ago. I read that my phone had an integrated GPS device so i downloaded tomtom as offered on the htc website. Unfortunately though I was not able to properly configure the software.
So here are some questions :)
On what com port does the gps run? I read com port 9? I tried that and unfortunately it did not work. TomTom tried baud rates but could not find the right one i suppose?
The ROM version I have is 1.17.415.3. Is this the right version? If it is not could anybody tell me where to obtain to correct version. I have registered my product on the htc website and I am not offered any other firmware or ROM upgrade or anything. And if this is not the right version what is the version number of the right version? ;)

P3600 and Seiko smartpad
In theory this device should work with the smarptad - but the software says that the IR prot in in use by another application.. does anyone know how to solve this?

my uncle came from europe and left his p3600 with me, here in Brazil, i tryed the unlock solution from pof (xda-developers) but it still locked..
i tried flash several radio roms and roms, hardspl etc.., i notice that when i start my p3600 it gives me this information:
M:05
B:05
D:3.00
R:NONE
G:NONE
And i notice this too:
Settings>System>Device Information>Version:
ROM version: 3.1.2c.AX3L
ROM date: 07/24/07
Radio version: NONE
Protocol version: NONE
Settings>System>Device Information>Identity:
Model No:TRIN100
Platform: PocketPC
IMEI: (blank)
Can you guys help me unlock my p3600

Htc - p3600 problems syncing on vista
Hi All
I have a HTC p3600i which synced fine with fine with xp on old computer
I just got a toshiba laptop with vista on it & i have downloaded the latest driver for it and it still wont connect phone and laptop.
Any ideas what is going on?
Usb drivers are fine and downloaded and installed new drivers off microsoft mobile site for laptop just wont connect?

avoid touch screen from activating during incoming call on HTC P3600
Does anyone know if it is possible to avoid the screen from activating untill you have answered the call.
Every second time i pull the p3600 out of my pocket I have managed to activate som program by touching the screen. It´s very annoying!!

If I purchase an unlocked P3600, where can I get support?
There is no Americas support for the P3600 and the Europe P3600 support say says to contact the carrier. Will HTC be providing any support for the HTC-branded product in the U.S.?

Thanks to Micro Soft.
I had exactly the same problem with HTC P3600 in France.
HTC customer service explained to me that MS has a policy that makes it impossible to change the language of a MS mobile device. You get the language of where you buy it and it cannot be changed.!!!!!!!! Thanks Bill!
Your only chance is to quickly return your phone and get a refund (that's what I did) and then order by mailservice from the country with your preferred language.

HTC Touch Remote?
Hmmm.... just found this link with a software update for the HTC P3600 "with the latest available optimised software for use with the following accessories" which includes the RC W100 Remote Controller and the RC E100 Remote Controller.
But wait, stop the presses! I just read on a forum that the W100 only works with Windows Media Player! Unless a further software update improves on this, total deal breaker IMO!!!

HTC SHIFT HYPE gives way to HTC KAISER/P4550 HYPE. Get an iPHONE.....
The HTC SHIFT is DOA. ( Some uninformed unsuspecting comsumers will dole out wasted cash on SHIFT - CAVEAT EMPTOR, buyer beware ). Read What's Missing
The 384MHz HTC Kaiser/P4550 is a "STEP BACK" from LAST YEAR'S "HTC P3600 with WM6, which has Built-In GPS & a 400MHz Processor", the HTC Kaiser/P4550 still does not have the "REAL INTERNET" and "Nothing that SMALL should ever have a keyboard", for the "informed buyer", the HTC Kaiser/P4550 is also a DOA product... either keep your P3660, get the WM6 ROM for it & continue on without the "REAL INTERNET", or get an iPhone which is the only phone in the mix that has the "REAL INTERNET".
There is "NO WAY" that Kaiser's inept WM6 IE can "BLOW AWAY" anything that actaully has the "REAL INTERNET", there is NO WEBSITE on the INTERNET that properly RENDERS on WM6 IE ( If WM6 IE were a stand-alone product, I would also declare it DOA against the iPhone's browser which DOES properly RENDER the REAL INTERNET ). iPhone is still the only choice for the "Real Internet".
If you're in a race for information on the "REAL INTERNET" (time is money) and you had a iPhone and a HTC Shift, the iPhone would win hands down because for the "REAL INTERNET" the HTC Shift takes 3.5 to 5 Minutes to BOOT, then you have to get to the "REAL INTERNET" to retrieve the same information that the iPhone browser has provided you with on the "REAL INTERNET", a blazing "3.5 to 5+ minutes ago"....
If you have a HTC P3600 now that you BOUGHT LAST YEAR, then HTC has NOTHING for you to buy THIS YEAR... HTC's SHIFT and KAISER are currently Market "No Shows" against the iPhone's "REAL INTERNET". Maybe HTC will come to their SENSES for Sept 2008, but in AUG 2007, you wonder where HTC's head is..
