hi,
i am trying to get Unlock number from T-mobile and they are saying that IMEI is incorrect and unable to provide Unlock Code... what is the best way to get Unlock for T-mobile Wing

i have a tmobile wing under 2 year contract
i sent them my imei number and they couldnt find it in there database where the keep the unlock codes the do reconise the imei number as my phone i contacted htc they told me all phones are sent out unlock with a lock/unlock code then t-moble is responsible for locking the phone and keeping the unlock codes since t-moble provides unlock codes as a sevice if the messup by entering a wrong imei number with your unlock code in there database your out of luck. they told me to by another phone I really need to unlock this phone anyone know how

ok i just got my wing a couple weeks ago, after a few messages bout low memory i purchased a 1gb storage card, i immediately transfered a couple programs, music, and pics over to it. I really don't have much running on my phone no knew programs on the main storage and only about 80mb on the 1 gb storage card. So i thought i was good to go! so i sync a small 40mb vid from my pc to phone, go to work, i have some funny stuff to show my co-workers.i keep trying to open the video, it plays for a second then i get some message about unable.because of memory.i can't recall the exact message. so i had to close and press play about 5 times b4 the vid would finally play, when it played it played very slow, staggering/moving in slow motion. I stopped all programs except windows media in task manager.
oh, and how about the time i was ready to record (video) of some co-workers before Christmas break and I got the unable to open camera because of memory message.nothing was running in task manager, i had to power off phone and then i was able to record my restless co-workers who didn't want to be on camera from the start. Is there any way around all these memory problems with the Wing? i don't use many programs and all pics, small vids, ringtones are on my 1gb storage card, i get memory error messages even when internet explorer and messages aren't running.

Wings are great, but they can be way better. It's not hard. They need three tweaks:
1. A new touch screen interface that is fast, friendly and doesn't require a stylus to make a call 2. More memory. It's hard to do much in the 6MB left us by HTC 3. More speed. Most Wings can run a lot faster than they do. The way I suggest you approach this full Wing makeover is 2, 3, 1. Free up memory, make it fast, then add in a great new interface. By the way, all this is totally free. If there is interest, I will post how all this is done. Let me know. Paul D.

Connects to "BT Audio" only if soft reset is performed. will only connect upon initial pairing, Phone calls are able to be made while connected to "BT Audio", "no data" is associated with the phone call: after connection is terminated, the connection will not automatically establish, re-"pairing" must again take place to obtain a connection. Under no condition am I able to obtain a Bluetooth connection through the "BT Phone" controls; "connection error" or "invalid device" is displayed. The Wing behaves as if the connection has been made. I have been unsuccessful finding a solution from T-Mobile or Pioneer Electronics, they tell me "sorry the Wing is not compatible, there is nothing we can do for you". anyone have a clue how to fix or patch?

I can't get any sound to come out of the speaker (not the ear speaker where you here people the back speaker). I can't hear the ringer or anything else that comes out of that speaker. I have had 3 wings and they have all done this, but usually I just turn it off and then restart it and the sound works again, but not this time. I have even performed a full system reset.
Anyone have a solution?

I've been trying to pair my Wing with my new Jawbone headset via bluetooth and keep getting an error message. My phone "finds" the Jawbone but then, after I enter the passkey, I get an error message that it failed to connect. (I haven't been able to connect to my Mac via Bluetooth either.)

Is there a picture phone book proram like the touch flo 3d? I like my wing and i don't wont to change rom just some programs and suggestions.
by the way scrolling contacts where you can make calls directly from the program would also be great any Suggestions |

I put the 16gb memory card in my wing and it's lovely to have so much room to load pics and music and other programs
Remeber to go into mms log to delete mms so you don't clog up your memory |

good day, just got my Wing a couple days ago, my 1st question is does anyone have any free links online for ways to tweak my Wing?
second, i haven't been able to find a way to protect my contacts.........I mean i thought it would be a mandatory function on a phone of this price.....My girlfriend asked to see my phone because she thought it was cute compared to her regular $100 phone. next thing i know she asking about every female name in my contacts---the majority of the girls were co-workers, she actually called 1 of the girls it was my cousin............i'm no player but my contacts are PRIVATE and i don't want anybody getting a hold of family members numbers, etc... not to mention she also went through my email----i get spammed alot on yahoo, so going through my email u might get the wrong idea.......so basically i want to know is there a way either already on the phone or by download to give a password to access my contacts and messages (email and text). I don't want to type in my email password everytime i get an email, so i'm lookn for a quick 4 digit way or something. I mean that's crazy......I use to have a $100 audivox phone that allowed me a easy 4 digit way to protect my contacts, pictures, messages, etc... Also what's the deal with GPS on the Wing? I mean is there a free product I can dl to use it? or do u have to have some expensive software or gps in your vehicle? any other suggestions, links and advice is appreciated! i bought my wing used online for $220 the guy said he had it for 2 weeks. It appears to be in excellent condition but i will be very cautious b4 the wing i bought a brand new t mobile dash, after 2 weeks a small amount of water got in the phone and screwed the screen. I've had over 7 cell phones in 3 years and these t mobile phones (dash, wing) seem very sensitive. i had to power off the dash several times and las nite i had to power the wing off caz i couldn't text. thx

just bought the wing and cannot use to watch streaming videos on the internet.Like wise can not listen to radio staions on the web.Is anybody experiencing this too?I am really upset since this is one of the main reason I bought so as to be listen and watch streaming video when I am on the road.
HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Just download the touch screen version at skyfire.com and enjoy. Works perfect for watching videos from sites like myspace , hulu, espn, local news, nbc.com, online movie sites and NFL LIVE on sundays and Live basketball thursdays nights on TNT. Has built in flash player 9 and adobe reader 8. Can also get and reply to your email desktop version quickly on msn, yahoo and gmail. Can't do any ofd this on mobile internet explorer. Check it out, it'as free.

Just install BB .4.0.0.104.cab on my Wing (new ROM WM6.1 from Tmobile 4.26.531.1), and BB Connect Desktop 4.0.0.22, I have even change my plan to Tmobile BB Data plan, but hours frustration lead me to nowhere
On my wing, I got message of "IP Address : No Connection" On desktop, I got message of "You account is not provisioned ...." Any people can shed some lights, please!!

I have to say, I am rather dissapointed with my wing. I think Tmobile and HTC did a poor job on this phone. I have followed the "make your wing fly" instructions in this wiki and I like the changes however, my phone continues to run low on memory, requiring a reboot every few days. The AT&T Tilt, which is DANG near the exact same phone, has 100MB of system RAM not 64MB. Why couldn't HTC/Tmobile make this phone have the same?

no one at T-Mobile has the answer and HTC tech support referred me here. I dial my office voice mail maybe 10-15 times a day. On my Sprint phone I was able to insert pauses in the dialing. It would dial the number, pause for the voice command, add a string of numbers, pause for the next voice command, and finally put in my password. So I could press 3, for example, and it would take me all the way through to my messages. So far I can not find a way to put in the pauses on the Wing. So I have to press 3 and then wait for the voice command, and then manually put in the next string of numbers, then wait again for the next voice command, and then put in the password. This is time consuming and impossible to do while driving. Anyone know if it can be done on the Wing? If so, how? Thanks, Tom

I just recently replaced my screen with a new one on ebay. I followed a website's exact instructions on how to replace it. Now, my keyboard acts wild when I open my wing. None of the keys work and it pressed random direction keys on its own!!
