I received a message that Valid time has expired but when I go to download I get the following message " Connection failed. Please try again later". I am connected through AT&T and I have do not have any issue connecting to the internet. Can anyone tell me how to fix this

WARNING: OWNERS YOU MUST READ THIS
Love Hate Relationship! I love this powerful windows mobile device. Using real apps like Slingplayer, Fring, Tom Tom Nav 6 and Core Video player. I hate the fact that it took 2 hardrives in my Macbook Pro before i realize that I was sitting the device too close to the Mac hard drive. Why should this matter? Because of that HUGE keyboard Magnet. It totally ruined the hard drive and I had no clue what was going on until I recently thought thru my exact steps. - I sat the 7510 on the mac during a bluetooth transfer. WATCH OUT- Don't put your 7510 in your casually in your bag next to your laptop either!!!! - HTC - you need a WARNING Sticker to let everyone know about this big problem.

A new version of Opera Mobile 8.65 was just released, but I don't see anyway in Opera to update the ROM version to the latest version. I downloaded the trial, but then you only get it for 30 days unless you buy the updated version. Shouldn't we get a free update since it is included with the HTC Advantage?
If not, this is why I don't like 3rd party apps in ROM like Microsoft Reader used to be. Apps that get updated are difficult to manage when in the ROM.

My S/W requires me to have a device ID to register and install correctly. Is this ID no. same as IMEI# or Serian No. or something else (how do I find it?).

JEEEZ... According to this wiki nearly EVERY HTC device is "transflective" meanwhile NONE of them are! What the hell is going on here? Do people just have no clue??? This wiki is used by a lot of folks as "official" so this is ridiculous.
Im sure HTC would love for this issue to stay confused, but the display on the Advantage is CLEARLY transmissive. To anyone who doesnt understand, a TRANSFLECTIVE display means the device is viewable in FULL sun CLEARLY with NO BACKLIGHT. The screen will have a kind of interesting greeinsh look. Turning up a massive backlight to MAX and overriding the sunlight and glare while killing the battery is NOT "transflective". That is just using massive illumination in a TRANSMISSIVE display to make it viewable. TRANSMISSIVE = TRANSMITS LIGHT - ie - with a backlight TRANSFLECTIVE = REFLECTS LIGHT - ie USES the sun to light the screen IN ADDITION to being able to TRANSMIT light with a backlight if you want REFLECTIVE = ONLY able to reflect light = USELESS in the dark TRANSMISSIVE = cheap and sucks and being pushed on consumers by crappy manufacturers REFLECTIVE = useless dinosaur TRANSFLECTIVE = the ONLY decent display technology which is becoming EXTINCT as manufacturers successfully pull one over on the consumer with the help of "wikis" like this that lie. |

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or knew of a fix. This happened twice today. The first time the colors went negative, it fixed itself. This time, the colors seem to be permanently negative. Any ideas? I've soft reset, hard reset, shut it down and left the battery out for a day, but even the boot screen is in negative colors. Anyone else have this problem?

I tapped the button on my bluetooth headseat expecting to shortly hear the little sound to prompt me for voice input. It never appeared. I've checked the settings, reset bluetooth, reset my headset and nothing appears to change.
What should I do next?

I have had the HTC 7500 (earlier version) for just a little less than a year and everything went fine. I was very happy with it. Only a few days ago, I started losing some programmes and now I understand that the microdrive has gone away completely. Can't reformat it, does not show in memory status menu anymore ... gone! I tried a couple of soft resets but no result.
Any idea of how I can revive the microdrive or should I take it back to the shop immediately??? Please help me. Rgds

When trying to upgrade my T-mobile Ameo which is an HTC athena from WM 5 to WM 6 it bricked and I can't start it even with a hard reset. can anyone advise what I can do apart from using it as an object to throw at my dog!

I purchased 3 Advantage computers yesterday at Comp USA. Since then I have been told by HTC that CompUSA "illegally" brought them into the U.S. The devices apparantly do not have an internal GPS and do not have the TomTom software. CompUSA says they are legal and gave me a patch which did nothing but take the "not for resale" off the initial screen!!!!

I can only see the text in Edit mode, otherwise all I see is the title and a lot of white space. Using IE7. Same with Athena home page. Only the Suggestions page can be read.
