The SDA has the ability to synchronize information wirelessly with a Microsoft Exchange Server. Follow these steps to set up direct synchronization of your contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, and most importantly, email.
- On the SDA, go to Start > ActiveSync
- Select the link in the middle of the page OR Menu > Add Server Source
- Enter your Server address and select Next
- If required, check the SSL connection box
- Enter your User name, Password and Domain and select Next
- Check the Save password box to avoid having to re-enter it
- Choose the data to synchronize and select Finish
Note: Calendar and E-mail synchronization can be tuned to suit your needs. To adjust the default settings follow these steps:
- Highlight Calendar and select Menu > Settings
- Adjust the amount of past calendar appointments to synchronize
- Select Done
- Highlight E-mail and select Menu > Settings
- Adjust the amount of e-mail to synchronize
- Adjust the size of the e-mail message to synchronize
- Select Done
