Button and Task Manager Shortcut The AT&T Tilt and WM6 update for the 8525 includeincludes 2 new features within the Task Manager called Button (X-Button) and Task Manager Shortcut. The Button feature allow a user to set how applications respond when the X is tapped from within this application and provide The Task Manager Shortcut provides a user quick access to their running programs list and the Task Manager.

Using the Button feature.
  1. Go to Start>Settings>System Tab>Task Manager.
  2. Tap on the Button tab.
  3. Here you can change the way that programs are impacted when the X is used.
  4. Change the desired settings and tap OK.
Exclusive option. The Exclusive option allows users to add programs to a list that makes them exempt from the Button setting; these applications will not be closed out when the X is used within the application. To add a program to the Exclusive list:
  1. Ensure that the application is currently running on the device.
  2. Go to Start>Settings>System Tab>Task Manager>Running tab.
  3. Check the box next to the application.
  4. Tap on the application name and select Add Exclusive from the pop up menu.
To remove a program from the Exclusive list:
  1. Go to Start>Settings>System Tab>Task Manager>Exclusive Tab.
  2. Check the box next to the application.
  3. Tap Remove.
Task Manger Shortcut. The AT&T Tilt and 8525 WM6comes come with a Task Manager Shortcut that is found in the upper right corner of the Today Screen. The Short cut shows a list of running programs, the option to stop all and Options which when selected, will take the user to the Task Manager. The only option for the Task Manager Shortcut is to enable or disable for the Today Screen. These settings are found under Start>Settings>System Tab>Task Manager>Button Tab or use the Task Manager Shortcut Menu and select Options>Button tab.
