Button Shortcuts on the MDA
Here are some cool button shortcuts to make using the MDA even easier!
- Enable Vibrate Mode - If you do not want to use the volume key and stylus to adjust the volume, just press and hold the Comm Manager key until the device vibrates!
- Hidden Keyboard Symbols - Some symbols are not apparent on the keyboard. For example, how do input [brackets] or "quotations?" Here is how.
- Type the letter or symbol that resembles the desired symbol
- Alt + K for ( )
- Alt + ← for '
- Press the Alt + Sym key (Dot + Space)
- This will change the entry to a new symbol
- Turn Caps Lock on - Press the Cap/Shift button twice to turn Caps Lock on. This will capitalize all letters until turned off by pressing the Cap/Shift button twice again.
- Turn Symbols on - Press the Alt (Blue Dot) button twice to type all in symbols. This is helpful for typing a lot of numbers. Keep in mind that the Delete key will not function in this mode so don't be alarmed if you cannot backspace!
- Closing Windows - The OK button next to the Space key will let you quickly close any open windows when you have the keyboard open.

Watch
The "hangup" (red telephone) button on the main keypad will hide the current application. This is similar to closing windows, but is different for some applications.
