8525 Sync TroubleshootingThis is a featured page

Sometimes we all have issues with syncing our computer to our devices however if you ever found yourself stumped on why your 8525 is just not syncing with your computer, you may want to follow some of these steps

1) Make sure you have the correct sync software, If you have Windows Vista, you will need to download Windows Mobile Device Center or Activesync for Windows XP. You will also need Outlook 2003 or higher to sync your contacts and calendar information and Outlook Express is not compatible.

2) If you have Activesync, make sure Advanced functionality is unchecked in your USB to PC settings because this will make your 8525 invisible to your computer unless you are using Windows Vista with Windows Mobile Device Center.

3) Check the USB cord and the port on the 8525 and make sure there is no damage because usually if any of those two things are damaged, you may be able to charge the 8525 but it will not sync.

4)Try deleting the partnership by disconnecting your device and going to File and then delete mobile device then reconnect the 8525 to create a new partnership.

5) If your still having issues with not connecting, Try uninstalling your sync software however with Activesync, you will also need to delete the Activesync program folder out of your program files then restarting the computer and you may want to hard reset the phone as well.
