I've wanted to get Sandisk's 'new' 16 GB MicroSDHC card for my Mogul for a long time, but calls to HTC support always resulted with the same answer: "We've only tested the Mogul with MicoSDHC cards up to 8 GB. When we get ahold of a 16 GB card we'll test it".
Well, when DZ-Tech.com recently dropped their price for the 16 GB card down to $49.00, I decided to take the risk.
It arrived this morning and I first checked it on my computer (using Sandisk's "MobileMate Reader for M2 And MicroSD") and it worked fine. "Properties" displayed over 15 GB available.
Next I plugged it into my Mogul and went to "Settings"; "System"; "Memory"; "Storage Card" and found that the Mogul detected over 15 GB of memory available.
I've copied over a couple of gigs of MP3 files and everything is working fine.
If it starts acting up in the days to come (losing files, etc), I'll update this post.
Otherwise, my experience is that if you're looking for maximum storage capacity on your Mogul, you should feel safe that the 16 GB Sandisk MicroSDHC card is compatible.
Just thought I'd let everybody know.
(Of course, like many products say in the fine print: "You're Results May Vary")
I, for one, am glad I took the risk, though.
Do you find this valuable?
